Frequently asked questions

Crown Trade is a trade-grade line designed for professional, predictable results. The difference is in the consistency, ease of application, reliable coverage and stable appearance after drying. There is a clear logic to the purpose — Matt Vinyl for a calm and clean look, Eggshell for greater durability, and Clean Extreme for high-traffic areas where stain resistance and wet wipe resistance are required.
Wet wipe resistant means the paint is formulated to withstand cleaning with a damp cloth without damaging the surface appearance — Clean Extreme is designed for such conditions: Class 1 wet wipe resistance and up to 10,000 cleaning cycles, with high stain resistance. To clean: wait for the paint to harden (ideally ~7 days), then use a soft cloth/sponge + lukewarm water and a gloss, then wipe gently. Avoid abrasives, rough sponges and aggressive chemicals.
Start with what you already have in your space — furniture, flooring, or accents. Look at pictures of your kitchen cabinets for inspiration. Use tone maps to narrow down your choices to a few shades, then order a tester pot. Since the shade varies depending on the lighting in the room, try it directly on your wall to make a confident decision.
For an accurate calculation, we first select the product, since the coverage m²/l varies, and the condition of the wall also has an impact. Send us how many m² you will paint and we will suggest the appropriate product and the exact quantity in liters.
Matte paints are better at hiding minor wall imperfections and giving a soft, even look. Higher-gloss paints reflect more light and can visually brighten a room. If the space is busy, choose a matte paint that is durable and resistant to wet wiping, for easier maintenance in everyday life. Always consider the function of the room.
After application, the paint goes through a drying phase and forms a stable layer, during which water and very low amounts of VOC evaporate. It is recommended to ventilate the room while the paint dries. In practice, you can usually sleep the same day, if the room is well ventilated.
Yes. Tintura works with verified individual painters and companies who regularly work with Crown products and use professional paint application tools. We provide recommendations based on the type of project and space.
First you should try to determine where the water/moisture is coming from that is creating the damp spot where the mold is growing. Once you have stopped the leak or addressed the source of the moisture, treat the surface with Sandtex Trade Fungicide, leave to work for 24 hours, then wash the surface to remove any residue and allow to dry completely. You can then apply a finish of your choice.
For general use with wall paints, a medium pile microfiber roller picks up the best amount of paint and is the most practical to apply. For an ultra-smooth finish on a perfectly flat surface, use a short pile. Long pile is used for rough surfaces, such as facades/masonry. You may need a telescopic handle for stairs or high walls, as well as thin/extended rollers for hard-to-reach places (for example behind radiators). Use a larger brush where the roller cannot reach, then smaller brushes for edges and corners for a precise finish. Synthetic bristles are best for water-based paints, as they do not swell when wet. Natural bristles are recommended for oil/solvent paints, when a particularly smooth finish is required.
